Np,Tp & Batam Visit

Friday,19 January 2006 Was the 2nd day of NP Open House. So i decided to hop down for a while to take a look. Anyway, Taufik is coming down at 4pm, so of course i wouldnt want to miss it!
I went together with Serene since she too want to take a look at the open house. Agreed to meet her at the bus stop at NP at 130pm. Was there early b'cos i took a taxi there.Wasnt my intention to take a taxi but i was at Thomson Medical Centre earlier and i was afraid im late. Anyway the taxi fare was on my sis including my lunch b'coz she was the want who wanted me to accompany her & Irfan to the doctor. So, not a single cent wasted from my pocket! =)
Anway, Serene came a few minutes later and was perspiring all over.She drop the wrong bus stop and have to walk one big round to reach NP! Poor thing!
Went in and took my lunch first before entering the convention centre. There, we collect our goody bags and then proceded to ask more on the courses we want at the hall,i think. The hall was packed with students from different secondary schools and,lecturers and NP students. Headed down to the Life Sciences section and asked more about Biomedical Science. Later went on with Nursing and Early Childhood.
We werent interested in Nursing actually. But, Serene wanted to know more on behalf of Li Yong. So kind ah! But, it wasnt too kind on our side. We got a lecturer to answer our questions and you know what? She talked on and on. And kept telling us nursing is good and we should go visit the exhibition at their school and..................................
After like about 20 mins, she let us off.Pfft.
Went out of the hall after that and decide to take the bus tour around the school. Again we drop at School of Life Sciences and Humanities to see their exhibition.
After all that, it was about 3.15 and i told Serene i wana get back to the Atrium to watch the concert. Hop back on the bus and it led us to the Atrium.
There were not many people around so we manage to find seats that are 4 rows away from the stage. Ok what, better than no seats right?There were some Chinese performances going on and soon the NP students take on the stage for their hip hop dances. Not forgetting also there is some kind of band being played.
After ALL that performances, FINALLY, the man came. Taufik came from the backstage. Screams were then heard from all his fans.Cameres started to flash.He took the stage with 'One'. Then, Usah Lepaskan & ABOY. In between, he was asked some questions and played a singing game with the fans. There was 1 girl whose attitude sucks really bad.So meluat!Anyway, here are some of the pics i took:
He was suppose to have an autograph session but cancel it b'cos he had to rush somewhere. So, we left NP and went back home our own way. Took bus 52 which went straight to Bishan. I took almost 1hr to reach my place and i was standing the whole journey, hokay?
I was damn tired but got a surprise when i reached home. Phylicia sent me a gift all the way from Australia. It was a pair of tops which is sooooo nice. I loike.Thanks gurl!=D

Temasek Poly is also having their open house so me & Nurul went down to take a look. The course (Food Science) that i wanted was there.
Met Nurul around 1145pm at the interchange. Again, i was early.We took MRT to get to Tampines. On the way,we chatted and was too engrossed on our conversation until we stop at the wrong stop!! We drop at Simei. Waited for the next train and we wasted ard 8 mins! Chet.
Anyways, we walked to the tampines bus interchange after dropping off the CORRECT MRT station and took bus 23. There was quite a number of people and they are all dropping at TP.
TP open house was so cheerful and the students there were so full of energy. Imagine,they started cheering from the bridge!=D Students from the School of Engineering was even MORE enthusiastic. They were practically shouting,cheering and plead people to visit their school!
Nurul & I went straight to the School of Life Sciences to check out the courses & exhibitions there. We did not want to go other schools first as we afraid there will not be enough time.As TP closes at 4pm,btw.
After checking what we wanted,we sat down beside the School of Design to sort out our stuff and chill a little as we are perspiring all over although its raining.: S
A few minutes later, there was a guy holding a poster that says a fashion show would be held in just a little while. So, we decided to take a look as i know one of my sister's friend's sister (i know a little confusion) is one of the model.
Went in the school and stand beside the runway. The fashion show then started and i saw a familiar face walking and then resting against the wall opposite us. It was Sleeq! Of course, i am excitedsuprised and nudged Nurul. She was blur a little, as usual.:) Btw, Syarif was so...............neat in his dressing. :)
Anyway, went back like one hour after the fashion show due to some resons. Before taking the MRT again to Bishan, we ate at Century Sq first. The whole way back we were not soooo tired but surprisingly we were over the moon.;)

My whole family, except for my first sis & husband & Irfan, went to Batam. We make our way to Harbourfront at around 920am. It was early for me,seriously. Moreover,i went out 2 days straight the day before.
Anyway, Kak Ina wanted to make curtains for her new house. Thats the main purpose for making a trip to Batam. Btw, making curtains in Batam was a LOT cheaper than making in Singapore. It can cause you less than half of the price you paying in Singapore or more!
We spent around 2 hrs i think in the curtain shop. I too make a curtaion for my room!:) After that we head down to Mega Mall for our luch and did some shopping. While eating i got a view of the sea and took some pics.There was picture i took which shows some funny thing in the middle of the sea.
After lunch, we went down to the first level and i bought donuts! They were so cute and they tasted good too. It is not like Dunkin' Donuts which will be hard after u kept for a day. This donut is totally different. It is still soft even u keep after 1 day!
Then, i went in to a shop I.D Girl. It sells lots of Roxy, Billabong etc. stuffs. And, it is a little cheaper compared to Singapore.I bought a new Roxy wallet which is around $27.
After shopping, we decide to go back Singapore . So,went back to the ferry terminal. On the way back, i tool a picture of the sea again. This time the tide is low.
We book our tickets and and board the ferry arpund 6.15 Singapore time. Reached Singapore around 7.30pm and went back straight home. Of course, it was a tiring day!
I just realised i didn't took any pictures of me or my family. What a ditch! Anyway, here's the slideshow of the pictures:

Ok, im done! Hooray! It was damn tiring typing all those words, hokay? Plus the editing of the pictures and all. That is why i make a slideshow towards the end.
Okay, need to get sleep now. It's 3am now!!
